Welcome to Belinda's Calming Pill

Whether you've had lots of energy, worried moments, or simply want a quiet break, this website is here to help you slow down, take a deep breath, and enjoy your own peaceful self-moment.

About Me

My name is Belinda, and I'm a sixth grader. This is a website I built, one exercise at a time, because I wanted to create a calming place where friends and family can relax, reflect, and take care of themselves. 🌿

Interests

🎁

Thoughtful gifts

I love figuring out exactly the right thing for someone — there's nothing more satisfying than seeing it land.

✂️

Crafts of every kind

From drawing to building little projects out of whatever materials I can find lying around.

🏃

Exercising

Moving my body is one of the best ways I know to reset — it's why the stretching exercises exist on this site.

💻

Coding

Making something on a screen actually work, piece by piece, is my favorite kind of puzzle.

💚

Designing things that make people smile

Put it all together and you get this website — creativity plus caring, combined into everyone's own self-moment.

✍️

Writing

Stories, poems, journal entries, random late-night notes — any kind of writing is basically thinking out loud on paper.

Move & Rest

Calm isn't only about slowing down — it's also about moving, or at least remembering to take a break. On a phone, this tracks your real steps. On a computer, it keeps an honest count of how long you've been sitting instead.

0
of 3,000 steps

Tap below to start counting your steps for today.

Works best on a phone, carried with you while this tab stays open — it can't count steps in the background or when the page is closed. Computers don't have a motion sensor to read, so there's a different kind of tracker for those below instead.

🪑 Desk Break Timer

0:00

Time since your last break — works on any device.

Counts real elapsed time this tab has been open and in view — pauses if you switch away, and resets whenever you open a stretch, look outside, or take a break yourself. A soft bell rings once you've been sitting a while.

"Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live." — Jim Rohn

Meditation

"Some nights my brain won't stop replaying the whole day. Sitting quietly and scanning through my body helps me slow all of that down." — Belinda

Gratitude Prompts

"Writing down one thing I'm grateful for reminds me that even on a rough day, there's usually still something good in it." — Belinda

"Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul." — Henry Ward Beecher

Journaling

"Sometimes I don't know what I'm actually feeling until I start writing it out. This is where I figure out what's really going on in my head." — Belinda

"Paper has more patience than people." — Anne Frank

Gratitude Jar

"Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others." — Cicero

Add anything you're grateful for. Take any of them out, anytime.

"Every day is the best day in the year." — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Bubble Pop

"Sometimes calming down works better when my hands have something gentle to do. I like to imagine each pop lets go of one tiny thing I don't need to hold onto right now." — Belinda

Bubbles popped: 0

My Calm Plant

"This little plant grows one step every day you do any exercise here. Taking care of yourself takes care of it too." — Belinda

Box Breathing

"When I need to reset fast, I trace a box with my breath — four equal sides, four equal counts. Simple enough to do anywhere." — Belinda

"Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor." — Thich Nhat Hanh

Breathe In
4

In for 4, hold for 4, out for 4, hold for 4 — on repeat. Pause or leave whenever you want.

"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better." — John Muir

Zen Sand Garden

"No score, no timer — just drag through the sand and watch the lines curve. Switch tools to smooth any of it back out." — Belinda

Firefly Jar

"Tap a firefly to catch it. There's always more dusk out there, so let a few go again whenever you want." — Belinda

Wind Chimes

"Tap any chime, or a few at once. They're all tuned to the same calm scale, so there's no wrong note." — Belinda

Ink Bloom

"Tap anywhere and watch the color settle in. No score, no timer — just see what you make." — Belinda
